*Ying Jie’s POV*

“What!! What did you just say?”

“Master has left us.” Henry said.

“Are you joking? Is not funny. Where’s Lun??!! Where is he??!!” I grabbed onto Henry.

“Miss.. Miss..”

“Lun!! LUN!!” Tears just keep on flowing out non-stop.

“Miss, Miss. Get hold of yourself.” Henry said, with Tim standing beside him.

“We are sorry that we didn’t reach in time.” Tim said.

“Ying Jie..” Wang Zi came up to me.

“Mummy,mummy. What happen?? Why are you crying??”

“Xiao Le, don’t go and disturb your mummy.” Wang Zi carried Xiao Le away from me.

“Help me take care of Xiao Le.” I ran out of the hospital.

“AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Tears just kept on flowing with the rain.

“How could you do this to me??!! How could you..” I just kept on running and running. You promised. You promised me that you will be back..

~Flashback~

“Jie, don’t be stubborn. I will be fine.” I looked at him with my teary eyes. He leaned forward to kiss my eyes.

“I will go and look for you. I promise.”

~End of Flashback~

Suddenly a shone of light..

“AHHHHHHHH!!” The car came crushing into me. “Lun..” As my eyes closed, I smiled. I’m sorry for my selfishness, Xiao Le. Wang Zi, please help me take care of him. Lun, please wait for me.

“Jie, don’t be stubborn. I will be fine.” I looked at him with my teary eyes. He leaned forward to kiss my eyes.

“I will go and look for you. I promise.”

He looked at Wang Zi. “GO NOW!!” Wang Zi carried Xiao Le and pulled me away. I do not know how long have we ran.

“Let me go.. Let me go..” I swing Wang Zi’s hand away. I dropped on to the floor.

“Mummy. Mummy.” Xiao Le ran up to me. “Why are you crying?? Where’s daddy? Why didn’t daddy come with us??”

*Aaron’s POV*

BANG!! Damn it!!

“Master!!” Henry and Tim with others came to my rescue.

BANG!!! BANG!! The streets filled with gun shots.

“Master, are you alright?” After the entire enemies are dead, Henry and Tim rushed up to me.

“Yea. I’m fine. They have started striking. Check out their hideout. I want to remove all of them, once and for all.”

“Yes, Master.” Henry and Tim nodded.

“JIE!” I get into my car and went looking for them.

“JIE!!!” I get from my car. She turned around and dashed towards me.

“LUN!!!” She hugged me tightly.

“I promise you, didn’t I?” She nodded.

“Jie.. Let’s get married.” She looked at me. She smiled and nodded. I took the chance to kiss her, a passionate one.

“Xiao Le, cover your eyes.” I heard Wang Zi telling Xiao Le. I broke the kiss and hugged Ying Jie closer to me. This is my life, an exciting life. Even till the end, I will always protect her. With Xiao Le, we form a family. Maybe next time, we will have additional family members.

“Jie..” I whispered into her ears. “Let’s have more Xiao Le.” She started blushing.

“Yes..” She smiled at me.

This is our wonderful ending. All enemies will be get rid by me. Because of them, I wouldn’t let myself die so easily. Because I want to be with them – always.

*Ying Jie’s POV*

Aaron worked with Henry and Tim from night till the next day.

“Mummy, can we go out today??” Xiao Le nudged my shirt.

“Sure. Where does Xiao Le want to go today?”

“Hmmm..”

“Can mummy go somewhere first? Then I will bring Xiao Le to eat ice-cream?”

“Yes, mummy.” I walked up to where Aaron is. Aaron is sleeping on the table. I took his jacket and covered him.

“Is daddy coming??”

“Daddy is very tired after working. Let him rest ok? Mummy brings you out.”

“Ok!!” I held onto his hand and we walked out of the house. I headed to the school. Wang Zi should be graduated already. It has been 6 years. Just by coming back to this place, all the memories have already filled my mind. Just after taking a few steps more, he appeared in front of me. Tears started forming. I ran up to him and hugged him tightly.

“Wang Zi..”

“Ying Jie..”

“Mummy, who is this??” Xiao Le nudged my skirt.

“Call uncle Wang Zi.”

“Enough of hugging?” Wang Zi broke the hug and I turned to see Aaron standing in front of me.

“Daddy!!!” Xiao Le ran up to Aaron.

“After so many years, he’s still so protective over you.” Wang Zi said.

“I heard that.” Aaron said.

“Get down!!” Aaron hugged onto Xiao Le. Wang Zi covered me. We hide at one corner.

“No. NO! Then what about you??” I said.

*Ying Jie’s POV*

8 months later..

“Jie, I got to go office for a while.”

“Ok.” I smiled at him. He looked at me.

“But.. I don’t feel safe leaving you alone at home.”

“She will be fine. The servants will look after her.” God-father said.

“I will be fine. Don’t worry. If anything happens, I will call you ok?”

He nodded reluctantly. “Ok. If anything happens, must call me ok!”

“Yes!” He kissed my forehead and left with his god-father. As days goes by, my stomach is getting bigger and bigger.
Aaron promised me that he will marry me after me giving birth. I smiled sweetly to myself. I looked at the ring on my finger.

“Ah..” My leg is aching again. Numb Numb. Got to sit down. “Ah..”

“Miss, Miss.” They ran up to me. “Miss, take a sit.” They bring me to the sofa. “Ok Ok. Thanks. Thanks.” Breathe Breathe.

“Have a drink.” They filled a cup of water for me. “Thanks.”

“I want to go up and rest already.” I smiled at them.

“We help you up.”

“Don’t worry. I will be fine. You all can go and do your stuff.” I walked step by step up the stairs.

“Ah.. AH!!!” Due to the bug tummy, I can’t even see where I’m heading to. I missed a step and went rolling down the stairs.

“AH! Ah. My stomach. Pain. AH!!” I held tightly on my stomach. It’s hurting a lot.

“Miss!! Miss!!”

“Call.. Ah.. Call..”

“Miss, you.. you..”

“Help.. me.. call.. Aaron.. Faster.. AH.. I think the baby is coming soon!!”

In the hospital..

“Jie. Jie.”

“AH..” I keep on sweating. I grabbed tightly onto Aaron’s hand.

*Aaron’s POV*

I stood outside, pacing around. I shouldn’t have leaved her alone at home. I punched the wall. ARGH!!!

“Doctor. Doctor. How is she??!” I grabbed onto the doctor’s arm.

“The patient fainted half way through. We need to perform an operation for her now. If not, both mother and child will be in danger.”

“Please calm down. We need your approval for the operation. If anything happens, do you want the mother or the child?”

~Flashback~

“Doctor, Doctor.. Save her!!” I drove to the hospital. After many hours, finally, the operation light went off.

“Doctor!! Doctor!! How is she?” He did not speak for a few minutes and he shook his head. What?!

“The mother is in a stable condition now but we still need her to stay in the hospital for a few more days. But.. I’m sorry that we can’t save the baby.”

“What?? You mean she..”

“Yes. She has miscarriage.”

We lost one child before. She loves the child. But..

After hours, the lights finally went off.

“Doctor!!” I rushed up to him.

“Congratulations. Both mother and son are save.”

“Son? The child is a boy??”

“Yes. Mother will be pushed the normal ward.”

“Thank you doctor.” I went to see our son before going to Ying Jie’s ward.

“Lun..” She tried to sit up.

“Jie!” I rushed to her and held her.

“It’s a boy. He’s healthy. Don’t worry.” I hugged her tightly.

“Thank you. Thank you. When I heard you nearly going to leave me, my heart almost popped out.” She smiled. I leaned forward to kiss her forehead, her eyes, her nose, her cheek and her lips.

*Ying Jie’s POV*

5 years later..

“Xiao Le, stop running around the house. Mummy is going to get angry soon.”

“Mummy!!” Xiao Le ran up to me. I squatted down to his level. “Stop playing. Have you packed your bag??”

“Yap!!” He held my hand and pulled me into his room. He ran over to take his bag and pass to me. I pat his head.

“Ok. Let’s go. Daddy is waiting for us outside.” We walked out of the house and headed towards Aaron.

“Daddy!!!” Xiao Le ran over to Aaron.

“Be careful.” I said.

“Xiao Le..” He smiled at him and then looked at me. He gave me a peak on my lips.

“Ah!! Daddy and Mummy kiss kiss!!” Xiao Le covered his eyes.

“You see. Your fault.” I hit Aaron’s chest. I carry Xiao Le up.

“Ok. Let’s go.” Aaron opened the car door and I put Xiao Le at the back seat.

“What must you do when sitting in the car??” I asked Xiao Le.

“Put on the seat belt.” I smiled at him. I pull the seat belt and put on for him.

“Let’s go.” We are heading to Aaron’s private plane. We are heading back to Taiwan. It has been 6 years plus. I wonder how Wang Zi is. I don’t dare to contact him. I “threw” him away back then.

Hours later, we arrived at Taiwan, Dark Street.

“Xiao Le, go up and rest.”

“Yes, mummy.” Xiao Le ran up to one of the rooms.

“Aren’t you tired too?” Aaron hugged my waist. I lay on his chest.

“I want to go and find Wang Zi.” I looked up at him. He didn’t say anything.

“Lun, I..”

“Master.” Henry and Tim walked into the house. Aaron nodded at them.

“Jie, you go up and take care of Xiao Le.” I looked at him and to Henry and Tim.

“Jie?” I hugged him tightly. “Ok.” He kissed me on my lips. I looked at Aaron. I didn’t want him to do this anymore. I wanted him to get out of this mafia gang but I know. It’s impossible. I never tell him my selfish thinking too.

*Ying Jie’s POV*

“Lun!!/Aaron!!!” Suddenly, Aaron fell onto the ground.

“Lun??!”

“I’m fine…”

“Let’s go to the hospital.” I said.

“I’m fine..”

“Lun, let’s go to the hospital!!!” I insisted.

“Jie, don’t worry. I will be fine ok? Let’s go home.”

“But..” He smiled at me.

“Ok.” We headed home and Henry informed Aaron’s doctor to check up on him.

“Doctor, will he be fine??”

“Don’t worry. There is no internal bleeding. Remember to apply medicine on the bruise and he will be fine.”

“Thanks, doctor.” I sat beside Aaron’s bed. He’s sleeping. I touched his face. My heart feels so pain. I bend forward to kiss on his forehead.

“Attack me while I’m sleeping. How could you?” Aaron grabbed my hand.

“Why aren’t you resting?”

“Because.. You are not on the bed with me.” I hit his arm.

“Ow.. Are you trying to kill me?”

“No.. I..” Aaron pulled me onto the bed and hugged me.

“Lun, how are you going to rest properly like this? Let me go.”

“Shhh…” I could feel his breath at the top of my head. Soon, he really fell asleep. I took his hand off my waist and creep down the bed. I cover the blanket and left the room. When I closed the door and turned around, Henry is standing in front of me.

“Wow.. Scare me.” He smiled at me.

“How’s Master?”

“He’s sleeping.”

“Master changed a lot.” I looked at Henry.

“Ever since he met you, he changed. He’s more caring and gentle.” Gentle? Thinking of him on the bed, he isn’t gentle ok! Wait. What am I thinking?? Shake it off.

“He seems more like a human when you are with him.” And Henry started laughing.

“Opps!” He covered his mouth. “Don’t tell him that I laughed at him.” I giggled.

“I won’t. Don’t worry.” I walked down the stairs. “AH!”

“Be careful. You are pregnant.” I almost slip and fall. Luckily, Henry caught me. “Thanks.”

“I can see that Master love the baby a lot. When he lost the first baby, he was very devastated.” I nodded at Henry.

“I will be careful.” I went down to the kitchen and cooked porridge for Aaron. Till the night, I went back to his room to take a look at him.

“Lun? Lun?” He’s not on the bed. “Lun?”

“Looking for me?” I turned around to see him walking out of the toilet.

“You scare me. I thought what happen to you.” He hugged my waist. I touched his face. Under the light, the bruises got clearer. He took my hand.

“I got disfigured because of you. You must marry me now.” Drop of tears came falling down.

“Jie??” He wiped off my tears. “I’m fine. Everything is fine now.” He hugged me in his arms.

“Ah! I cook porridge for you.” I went over to the table.

“You are pregnant. You should rest more. This type of things you can leave it to the servants.” I shook my head.

“I can take it. Furthermore, it has been so long since I cook for you.” I smiled at him. “Faster come and eat before it gets cold.” He sat on the chair and I sat on the bed.

“Finish.”

“I bring the bowls downstairs.”

“It’s ok. Just leave it there. Jie, I’m still hungry.”

“Still hungry?? Do you want more porridge? Or you want something else?”

“I want something else.” He replied.

“What do you want?” He started leaning forward.

“Lun?” He touched my cheeks and down to my neck.

“I want you.”

“Huh?” He pinned me down to the bed.

“Lun, cannot.”

“Why?”

“I might hurt you. I don’t want.” I said.

“You won’t hurt me.” He kissed my lips passionately.

*Ying Jie’s POV*

“Jie? What’s wrong?” I ran to a nearest drain and started vomiting.

“Jie? Are you ok? Jie? What’s wrong?” Aaron patted her back. “Jie??!”

“I.. I’m pregnant.” I told him.

“You what?”

“I’m pregnant.” He mouth started to form a curved upwards. “Wohoo!!” He carried me up and spins me around.

“Lun, I will get giddy.” When he stopped, I pushed him away and continue vomiting.

“Jie..” He patted my back. “Are you feeling better? I go and buy hot drinks for you.” I held onto him.

“I’m fine. After a while, I will be fine.” I smiled at him.

“You this silly girl. Why didn’t you tell me?!”

“I.. I knew it that day when you want to send me off.”

~Flashback~

“Henry, I beg you. I want to stay in Japan. Just help me again. Please.”

“Miss, but Master asked me to send you back to Wang Zi. Furthermore, that time when I helped you, he’s already very angry with me. If I help you again, he might really get very angry.”

“Please Henry. Please.” I grabbed onto his arm.

“Miss, sorry I can’t.” He took my hand of his arm.

“Henry..” Suddenly, my world started spinning.

“Miss!” That’s the last word I heard. When I woke up, I’m already lying in the hospital.

“Miss, how are you feeling?”

“I.. What happen to me?”

“You.. You are pregnant.”

“Preg..Pregnant?”

“You mean Henry know?! That bastard. He told me that he send you back to Taiwan!”

“I told him not to tell you. Don’t always scold him.”

“I shouldn’t always ask him to handle your stuff. Both of you seems to be in good relationship.”

“Baby, Baby, daddy is jealous again.” I touch my stomach. He looked at me.

“How can you tell him that?” He squatted down and lean his ears against my stomach.

“Is there really baby inside?” I giggled.

“He is still too young for you to hear anything.”

“Jie, we can’t go back home. In addition, they might also come after me. I don’t want you to get hurt. You..” I put my finger on his lips.

“Baby and I will follow you. Wherever you go, we will follow.”

“Jie..” He hugged me tightly.

We hide for 2 days but after 2 days.. Do you really think we can hide forever? Remember who they are.

“Let go of me!!” Aaron pushed the men away from him and went up to me.

“Please go back with us.” One of the men said. I looked at Aaron. Aaron clenched his fist.

“No one is supposed to touch her!!” He stared hard at that guy.

“I will go with you. Leave her alone.”

“Sorry but Boss wants to see her too.” Just as they want to come up and grab us..

“We can walk on our own.” Aaron said. He bends down and whispered to me.

“Jie, don’t let them hurt you.” I nodded at him. He held onto my hand and we headed out.

“Long time no see.” Qiao’s dad.. I stick closed to Aaron.

“Lun. Lun!!” A few men came to grab him away. He tried to push them away.

“Don’t struggle. If not, I can’t guarantee that she would stay alive.” 2 men grabbed my arms. Aaron stopped struggling.

“How dare you run away during the engagement!! You made my daughter lose face in front of so many people!!” Qiao’s dad went up to Aaron and kicks him in his stomach.

“NO!!” He turned around to look at him.

“No! Don’t touch her. If you want to vent your anger, vent it on me!” Aaron shouted. Qiao’s dad just keeps on beating him.

“No. NO. No..!!” I can’t help it and started crying out.

“DAD!!!” Qiao was being halt by a few men. “DAD!! Stop!!! If you don’t stop, I will kill myself in front of you!!!” Qiao put the gun hole towards her head.

“QIAO!! No. Listen to daddy.”

“Don’t hurt him!!”

“Ok. Ok. Daddy doesn’t hurt him. You put down the gun. Put down the gun.”

“Release him!! Release!!”

“Ok Ok. Release. Let go off him.”

“And her too!!”

“But she’s the one that steal your husband!!”

“Release her!! If not, I will kill myself now!!”

“Ok Ok. Release her.” Once the men released me, I ran towards Aaron.

“Lun. Lun..” I help him up. He has bruises all over his face.

“I’m fine. Don’t cry.” He held up his hand to wipe off my tears. I just kept on sobbing.

“Aaron!! Aaron!!” Qiao ran up to Aaron. “I’m sorry.. I’m sorry..”

“I should be the one apologizing actually.” Aaron hugged my waist. Qiao looked at him and then me.

“I know. Dad, let them go..” Qiao said.

“Qiao..”

“Let them go.”

“But I thought you love him?”

“Yea. I love him.” Qiao looked at Aaron. “But he doesn’t love me.”

“Qiao..”

“Stop saying. They should be together. Let them go, dad.”

“Ok..”

“I wish the both of you the best.” Qiao smiled at us. I went up to hug her.

“Thank you.”

“Lun!!/Aaron!!!” Suddenly, Aaron fell onto the ground.

“Let’s go to the hospital.” I said.

“Jie, going for class?” Aaron hugged me from the back. “I send you there.”

“It’s ok. I can go myself. I won’t get lost. I promise. Moreover, isn’t Qiao’s dad coming over today?”

“I can still send you there. I wouldn’t want to see him anyway.” I turned to look at Aaron.

“Silly. I’m going off already.” I kissed him the lips and headed for the door.

“Really do not need me to send you?” He held my hand. I smiled at him.

“Yes. I can go myself. Bye.”

After 2 hours of lesson, I went back home. When I reached home, Qiao’s dad has already arrived. Just when I step into the house, this is what I heard.

“Even if you kill me, my answer is still no.”

“Is it because of that woman?” Then there is a few seconds of silence. I hugged onto my notes tightly.

“Ah!!” I screamed out.

“Jie!” Aaron rushed up to me and hugged me.

“Hiding there for a long time huh..”

“Jie, are you hurt?” Aaron touched my cheeks. I shook my head.
“Grab her!”

“Lun. Lun.” Aaron plucked out his gun and aimed at the men. Qiao’s dad aimed at Aaron.

“Dad! You cannot kill him.” Qiao grabbed her dad’s arm.

“Why are still protecting him? You heard what he said.” He stared at Qiao.

BANG!!

“Lun. Lun.” Aaron hugged me in his arms. “Lun, let go of me. You are wounded. Let go of me!” I started tearing. He hugged me even tightly.

“Dad!! No!! No!!” Qiao stood in front of us. “You are not going to hurt him.”

“What about that girl?” Qiao kept quiet. Of course she wants me dead.

“Buddy, calm down.” Aaron’s god-father finally spoke.

“Lun? Lun?” I pushed him slightly away.

“I’m.. I’m fine.” Aaron got shot on his back. He smiled at me. “Don’t cry. I don’t want to see you cry.”

“Qiao, stand aside.”

“No. Not until you promise me that you won’t hurt him.” Qiao’s dad signaled his men to pull Qiao away and Aaron away from me. They grabbed onto me.

“Jie!” They grabbed onto Aaron tightly, not letting him free. Qiao’s dad aimed his gun at me. I closed my eyes.

“Jie!!” Aaron shouted my name. “I marry her. I marry her.” I opened my eyes and looked at Aaron.

“What?”

“I marry Qiao.” Aaron repeated. No. No. He’s joking right? Tell me he’s joking!!

“Great! Throw this woman out.”

*Aaron’s POV*

“You should know what will happen if you meet this girl again.” Uncle Yamato warned me. I clenched my fist. After that day, I never see Jie again. I asked Henry to send her back to Taiwan.

“Master, I send her back to Taiwan already.” I nodded at Henry. I lay back against the chair. Jie, I started to miss you again.

“Master, Boss wants to meet you.” I went to the office and saw Uncle Yamato and Qiao in the office too.

“Father.” I said coldly.

“Aaron, here. Take a sit.”

“We have decided to let you and Qiao to get engaged first.” Uncle Yamato said. Qiao hook onto my hand and smile sweetly at me. I moved away from her and took her hand away from my arm.

“Aaron, do you have any suggestions?” God-father asked me.

“You decide.” I said in a cold tone. I stood up and walked out of the room.

“Lun..” Qiao ran up to me and hooked my hand. I swing her off and pinned her against the wall.

“Don’t call me that.” I stared hard at her and left.

I never want this day to arrive but it just did.

“Let’s welcome Aaron and Qiao.” Argh! I walked up the staged as all the brothers clap. I wasn’t listening at all. I didn’t want to be here at all.

“Aaron. Aaron.” Qiao started nudging me.

“Please proceed to the table for the opening of champagne.” Just as I swift a glance, I stared at a direction. Why is she here? She saw me looking at her. Before I could even react, she ran away.

“Jie!” I ran down the stage and went chasing after her. “Jie!” Both of us ran quite a distance before I caught up with her.

“Jie!!” I grabbed her arm. She’s crying. I made her cry again. I pulled her into my arms and hugged her tightly.

I released my grip. She took a few steps back.

“Why are you still in Japan?” I asked. “Didn’t I ask Henry to send you back to Taiwan?”

I paused for a while.. “He didn’t send you back..” She looked away from me.

“Jie, you will get hurt if you stay here.”

“The pain isn’t that bad as compared to you marrying Qiao!!” She cried till her eyes are swollen. I cupped her head and grabbed up to me. I pressed my lips against hers. I forced her to take steps back until she hit the wall.

“Out.. Out of breath.” I looked at her from head to toe. She’s wearing this purple night gown.

“How can you run so fast while wearing this?”

Today, I went for Japanese lesson first because Henry is only able to make it in the afternoon. I’m able to go to the centre and the shooting ground myself. (To speak the truth, I only know how to go to these 2 places other than home.)

“Miss, I’m sorry I’m late.” Did he just run a marathon?

“It’s ok. It’s hard for you anyway.” I smiled at him. We walked into the shooting place.

“This time I want to try shooting a further target.”

“You sure? But you are still not stable.”

“We start practicing for a while more before increasing the difficulty.” He said.

“Ok.” He went behind me to help me straighten my arms. “Like this. Look at the target. Trigger.”

“I want to hear your explanations too.” He said to Henry.

“Yes, Master.” He drove me home and he pulled me to his room.

“Japanese classes can but not shooting.” He said.

“Lun!!” I pouted. “I should just continue to ask Henry for help.”

“Uhmm..” I hugged his waist, bringing myself to stick to him. I broke the kiss and lay on his chest.

“The one I love is you.” I lifted up my head to look at him. “Henry is really a good guy and a good assistant. Don’t always say that you want to kill him ok.”

“I’m starting to get jealous again.”

“Lun..” He hugged me tightly. “So.. Can I continue to learn shooting and Japanese?”

“Japanese yes. Shooting no.” I pouted.

“Henry, please. Just help me this time.” I tugged his shirt.

“But Master would get angry if I help you in this. He might just chop my head off.”

“I promise I wouldn’t let him chop you off. Just this once??! Please??” I showed him my pleading eyes. Just then, his phone rings.

“Hello? Yes. Yes. I will look for her.” Then he put down the phone. He looked at me.

“Is that Lun?” He nodded.

“Master asked me to look for you.”

“You promise me that you will help me than I will go back with you. If not, I will run away now.”

“Miss, you are making things difficult for me.”

“I’m not. Just yes or no?” I said.

“Ah.. O.. Ok..” I smiled at him.

“Great!! Let’s go!” I walked away, with him following behind me. Just as I reached home, I stood outside the door.

“What’s wrong, Miss?” I breathe in and out before walking into the house. Just as I step into the house, Aaron stood in front of me. Oh man. He should be very angry with me?

“Master, I brought Miss home. I shall take my leave.” Henry walked out of the house. I looked at Henry as he left the house. Crap. Must be brave. Shall I just walk pass him? Or should I walk to him? I choose.. The first option. Better avoid first. Just when I walk past him, he grabbed onto my arm to pull me back. Both of us looked at each other. I thought he was going to scold me or what but instead, he pulled me into his arms, hugging me tightly.

“Lun..”

“Where did you go just now?” He spoke in a very soft tone.

“I.. I just went out for a walk.” I lied.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because.. Because.. You are still sleeping.” I hope he didn't found out that I'm actually lying.

“You should have called me up.” He pushed me a little away from him so he could see my face. I didn’t say anything.

“Hungry?” He asked.

The next day, after Aaron went to the office. I went out of the house.

“Yes. And you are going to teach me.”

“No but. C’mon. Let’s go.” Guess where are we going?? We are going to the shooting ground.

“Yes! How many times are you going to ask me? Stop being wishy-washy.” We walked into the room and I stood in front of the table.

“You are going to teach me how to shoot.” He started to hesitate again.

“Come.” I signaled him to come. Finally, after a long time, he walked towards me to teach me. Shooting is hard. I shivered the first time.

“Miss, you shouldn’t do this. You are shaking like mad.”

“I will be fine.”

“Yes.”

“Ok. Hold it straight up. Finger 90 degree to the trigger..” The first time I fire, I could feel like heart is going to drop out anytime. The pressure is quite high? (Since this is the first time I use a gun huh.)

“Miss, we should stop here today. I need to head back to the office.”

“Ok. Then.. The other thing that I ask you to help me??”

“Yes. I found one for you.”

“Great! When can I start?”

“You may start today if you want.”

“Ok. Are you free to bring me there? Or you can teach me how to go.” Because he has to rush back to the office, he drew and wrote the instructions on a piece of paper.

After 1 hour, I managed to reach my destination.

“Hello, Miss, are you there yet?” Henry called me.

“Yea. I reached. Don’t worry. I’m able to go home myself too.”

“Ok.”

“Thanks Henry.” He cut the line immediately. He’s seriously afraid that Aaron would just chop him off. I walked into the centre.

“Erm.. I’m here for Japanese lesson.” I told the counter. Does she understand what I’m talking? Ah. The documents that Henry passed me. I took it out and gave to them. She looked at the documents and later, she seems to know what to do. She led me inside a room and signaled me to sit down.

Soon later, a man walked in.

“Hi, Miss Ying Jie. I will be your sensei.”

“Sen-sei?”

“It means teacher in Japanese.”

“Oh ok. Thank you.”

“We will begin our lesson now.” After 2 hours of lesson, I headed back home. I carried all my notes and went back to my room. I took them out and start to practice. Japanese is so different from Mandarin. Different structure. I do not know how long have I been studying till a knock on my door brings me back to earth.

“I’m coming in.” Aaron?! I quickly gather all my notes and stuff it under my table. He lifts his eye brown and looked at me. I smiled at him.

“What time is it now?” I walked up to him.

“8 at night.” He looked at my table area.

“I’m famished. Let’s go and eat.” I pushed him out of my room and closed the door. He hugged me from the back.

“Doing something weird in there?”

“No. No. When did I do something weird? I’m hungry already! Let’s go.” I broke his hug and walked down the stairs. Phew. I know when he starts to get suspicious. Things wouldn’t be able to hide from him for long.

“To the shooting ground.” She drove me to this unfamiliar place.

“Follow me.” I followed her and we went into this room.

“Why do you bring me here?” She smirked. She wore the headset and took a gun from the table. She aimed at the board and started shooting. I covered my ears immediately. After 5 minutes..

“Your turn.” She pushed me to the table. I looked at the guns on the table.

“Why? Don’t dare?”

“I.. I dare.. I dare..” I stretched out my hand to reach out for the gun. I could feel my hand shaking. I never.. never touch a gun before. After 10 minutes, I’m still standing there.

“Don’t force yourself if you can’t do it. You should know your limits.” Qiao smirks.

“I.. I can..” I lifted up the gun and aim at the board. My hand just keeps shaking.

“Forget it..” She took the gun away from me and pulled me out of the room.

“Remember. Different world.” She smirked and walked away, leaving me there. I looked as she drove off. I looked around. Where am I? How should I go home? I took out my phone, wanting to call Aaron but..

‘You look so weak.’ I paused for a while. I keep my phone back into my pocket. I will get home myself before Aaron reached home. I walked straight, out of the gate. Turn left or right? Just now, we came from right? Then, I should turn right. I started walking and walking. Where is this place?

The sky is getting darker. Just then, my phone ring. It’s Aaron. I.. I shouldn’t answer. I will get home. I must be strong. I off my phone after it stopped ringing. Turn.. Left? Left.. My legs are so tired.

“Ying Jie!!” I stopped walking. Someone grabbed my hand and turned me around.

“Lun?”

“Why didn’t you answer my call?!”

After we reached home, she ran into her room. I stood quietly outside her room. I wanted to go in but I didn’t. I could hear her sobbing. I shouldn’t shout at her. I clenched my fist. Argh! The next morning, she still stays in her room.

“Jie..” I knocked on her door but she’s not responding. “Jie..”

“Stop knocking. She will not answer you. Probably, she already knows her limits.” I turned to look at Qiao.

“What do you mean?” I asked coldly.

“Aaron, you should be with me instead.” Qiao hook her hand around my arm. “She can’t even shoot using a gun.”

“What?!” I swing off her hand.

“What do you actually fall for her? She trembled like mad when she holds a gun.” Qiao continues. I grabbed onto her.

“How could you ask her to do that!!!”

“Hi Sir. I notice you from far. I would like to make friends with you.” This Japanese girl walked towards our table. After blabbering some things, he touched Aaron’s hand. My eyes widen. I looked at her. She.. She looked so pretty. Looking at myself. I didn’t say anything. I continue eating my food.

“I’m sorry. I’m not interested.” Aaron replied her in Japanese.

“Jie..”

“Huh?” I looked up at him.

“Finish eating?” I looked at the girl and back to him.

“Let’s go.” He held my hand and pulled me out of the chair. We walked out of the restaurant.

“Jie, Let’s go to the mall. We are going to get some clothing for you.”

“Huh? You have been always buying things for me.” We went to the mall and ended up buying lots of things again. In Taiwan, I got a huge stack of things. In Japan, I got another huge stack of things. We headed home after that. So tired. I lay on my bed and Aaron came on top of me.

“Why aren’t you jealous?” He said.

“Huh? About? Just now?” He nodded.

“Oh. I didn’t know Japanese girl can be that pretty. You must be surrounded by so many pretty girls all the while eh? So.. If you happen to like them, than I..” I turned away from his gaze.

“I’m speaking the truth.” I said.

“Are you trying to piss me off?” I looked at him. Oh no. I sat up and move back. He gave me that smirk again. He walked towards me and pinned me against the headboard. He likes to look at me like this, showing that electrifying eyes. He cupped my head and pecked me on my lips. Then, he gave me a passionate one.

“Um..” He unbuttoned my clothes. “Lun..” He kissed me on my neck, leaving marks on it. Are we going have to another baby? I smile to myself.

This silly girl. I covered the blanket for her while she’s sleeping. I changed and walked out of the room.

“Aaron, you are at home!” God-father was at the living room and some other people. I walked down the stairs.

“Come over here. Let me introduce.” The man and the woman stood up from the sofa. “This is my god-son, Aaron. This is my buddy, Yamato and his daughter, Qiao.” I just nodded at them.

“Sorry, my god-son is always like that. Cool and less word.” I wanted to roll my eyeball man.

“Aaron, sit down.” I went over to sit beside god-father.

“Yamato is the chief of Japan biggest mafia gang and also my best buddy.” I nodded. Uncle Yamato looked at me and nodded. Eh? I just nodded back at him.

“I will leave my daughter with you for a few days. I’m afraid that she would get bored at home while I’m out.”

“No prob. Qiao is around the same age as Aaron. They will get along.” God-father replied. Crap. What’s the meaning of this?! I looked at that girl. Why is she staring at me? Argh! Just after Uncle Yamato left, I walked away from the living room. Just then, I saw Ying Jie walking down the stairs.

“Jie..” I rushed up to her. She looked at me and smiled. I hugged her waist.

“Don’t want to sleep longer?” I asked.

“Nope. I’m hungry.” I smiled at her.

“I never know you will smile too.” Qiao walked up to us. Ying Jie turned to the direction I’m looking.

“Hi! I’m Qiao!” She walked up to Ying Jie and offered a hand shake. Ying Jie was stunned by her move.

“Don’t understand Japanese? Then I shall speak in Mandarin? Hi. I’m Qiao. Do you understand now?”

“Oh. Sorry. I’m Ying Jie.” Ying Jie shook her hand.

“Jie, Let’s go.” I said.


“Huh? But she..” I pulled her away. Just don’t like that woman.

“What do you want to eat? I ask the chief to prepare.” I asked.

“Hmm.. I want.. Bento?” She looked at me.

“Ok.”

“Can I eat with you all?” She’s back again.

“No/Yes.” Ying Jie and I said at the same time. She looked at me. Sigh. I just nodded at her.

“Let’s eat together.” Ying Jie told her.

“Are you both an item? He listens to what you say eh?” Qiao asked Ying Jie.

“Huh? We..” Before I could even reply her, Aaron cuts in.

“You are asking too much.” I said. “Jie, faster eat before the food turns cold.” I took her bento to her.

“Where’s mine?” Qiao said.

“Get it yourself.” I said.

Ying Jie nudged me and frowned. She pushed her bento to her. “You can have mine.” Sigh. My over-kind hearted woman. But that’s what I love about her isn’t it? When I’m being devil, she will always be the angel.

No choice. I went to “request” for another one. “No giving to other people.” I told Ying Jie. She nodded at me and started eating.

“Do you want to eat?” She asked me.

“You eat first.” I patted her head.

“Stop looking and eat your food.” I said coldly to Qiao. She has been looking at the both of us for a very long time.

“Why do you treat me so badly? But you treat her so nicely?” Qiao asked.

“Because she’s my woman.”

“Then I want to be your woman too.”

“Aaron..”

“Why did you come here? Why don’t you just stay in Taiwan?” He said coldly.

“I.. I want to see you.”

“So now you see me. You can go back to Taiwan already.” Tears started flooding out again. Why? Why is he so cold towards me?

“Aaron, I..”

“I will ask Wang Zi to take you back.” He turned around and headed for the door. I grabbed onto his arm.

“Do you want to leave so much? Why are you so cold towards me suddenly? Why do you change suddenly?”

“I’m all along like this. From the beginning, you already know what type of person I am.”

“No. No.. I..”

“Go back to Taiwan.” He swing off my hand and walked out the room.

“Miss, let’s go.” Henry came to me. I followed him out of the building.

“Miss, I will send you back to Wang Zi. I have already called Wang Zi. He will be waiting for you at his house.” I followed behind Henry. Just as he did not notice, I ran away.

“Miss!! Miss!!” He chased after me. My god. He’s running too fast. Where should I run to? All the unfamiliar faces, walking on the unfamiliar street. Where should I go to?? I looked left and right. Left. I turned to the left and kept on running. Going out of breath soon. I turned into a small path and hide there. I held on my breath and Henry ran past me. Phew. I waited for a while until the coast is clear before walking out. But.. Where should I go now? I can’t go back to Aaron or even, I don’t even know how to go back to him either. I just kept on walking and walking. People on the streets are staring at me like I’m some alien. Maybe I’m really an alien to them.

*Aaron’s POV*

“What?! You lost her?!”

“I’m sorry, Master. I was bringing her to the plane but she ran off half way.”
I clenched my fist. “WE ARE IN JAPAN!!! NOT TAIWAN!! SHE WOULD GET LOST!!!”

“I’m sorry, Master.”

“Stop saying sorry and go and look for her!! You will be responsible if she meets any danger.” I took my coat and walked out of the building. I drove down the streets. Shit. Where will she go to? Did she bring her phone? Stupid. She didn’t on her phone? Argh!! I kept on calling and calling but it just wouldn’t get thru. Where will she walk to? She’s not familiar with Japan!! Oh my crap!!

*Ying Jie’s POV*

I do not know how long have I been walking. I only know I have been waking from the day to the night. The weather at night is so freezing cold and I’m not wearing any sweater. Just normal clothing. I hugged myself while walking.

“Ah-choo..” I took out my phone. Argh! No more battery. Did I forget to charge it? “Ah-choo..” So cold. Where can I go? The place is getting so deserted. I went to a corner and sat on the floor.

“Aaron, I..”

“I will ask Wang Zi to take you back.” He turned around and headed for the door. I grabbed onto his arm.

“Do you want to leave so much? Why are you so cold towards me suddenly? Why do you change suddenly?”

“I’m all along like this. From the beginning, you already know what type of person I am.”

Why am I thinking of him? He wouldn’t be here anyway. He wanted me to leave. Tears came rolling down again. Ying Jie, you are so weak. Why are you crying again? I stood up and continue walking.

Walking down the silent streets alone, it colder than normal. I walked till I reached a park. I do not have any money with me. I guess I have to spend my night here. I walked to the bench and sat down. I crouched on the bench. I wanted to sleep but my stomach growling. I’m so hungry. Sleep. After sleeping, you will not feel hungry anymore.

I flip here and there, till I finally fall asleep. The next morning..

“Miss? Miss?” Someone is nudging me. I opened my eyes slowly. “Miss, you can’t sleep here. Do you have a home? I help you call your family members.” That woman spoke in Japanese. I.. I can’t understand what she’s talking.

“Sorry. I.. I don’t understand.”

“Come. Let’s go. I bring you to the police station.” She started pulling me. Where is she bringing me? No. No. Where is she bringing me? I pushed her away and started running away.

“Hey! Miss! Miss!!” I ignored her and continue running.

“Ah!” I tripped over something and fell to the ground. Ow. My ankle. I do not know where to go. I limb while walking. I’m very hungry. I limb passed this bakery shop. I stood outside and kept on staring at the bread inside the shop.

“Miss, want to buy any bread?” Someone walked out of the bakery shop. I still don’t understand a word. I just shook my head and limb away. I hugged onto my stomach. Baby, lucky you are not inside mummy’s stomach, if not, mummy will cause you to starve. I walked to this lake. The scenario is so beautiful. I sit on the grass patch. Another day passes just like that.

I can’t walk anymore. I do not have any energy left. Suddenly, everything turned so black. I could feel my body started swaying. Soon, I fall on to the ground, unconscious.

*Aaron’s POV*

“Sorry, Master. We are unable to find her.” Henry said.

“CONTINUE FINDING!!!” Ying Jie, just where are you.. I’m not in the mood to do anything now. I just want to find her.

“Master. Master.” Tim came running in to my office. “We found her.”

“Where is she?!”

“She fainted on the streets. I have already asked our men to bring her back to Master’s house.” I grabbed my coat and headed back home.

“Where is she?” I asked the servants using Japanese.

“She’s resting upstairs.” I rushed upstairs to the room. I opened the door and see her lying on the bed. I walked up to her. She’s putting on a drip. She seems skinner.

“Lun..” I looked at her.

“Jie? Jie..”

“Lun..” She slowly opened her eyes.

“Jie? Jie?”


“Lun?” I went forward to hug her.

“Why did you run away?! Do you know you make me worry?!”

“I’m.. sorry.” I looked at her and kissed her forehead.

“Jie..”

She covered her ears. “No. I’m not going back to Taiwan without you. Don’t ask me to leave again.” It hurts me seeing her in this condition. I took her hand. She seems like she’s going to cry any minute. I hugged her tightly in my arms.

“You this silly girl. It’s so dangerous to stay by my side. Why don’t you leave when you have the chance?” She shook her head.

“Ying Jie, be careful.” Wang Zi held on to my hand.

“I’m fine. I can walk on my own.” We are outside at the park, taking a walk. I have been discharge from the hospital. I’m staying at Wang Zi’s house now. He didn’t allow me back to Aaron’s house.

“Are you tired? You should take a rest.” He helped me to the bench. I sat there silently. I do not know why but my tears are just like running taps.

“Ying Jie? Are you ok? Are you in pain? Stomach not feeling well? I go and call the doctor.”

“Don’t need. I’m fine.” I touched my stomach. The baby is not there already, neither is Aaron.

“Wang Zi, I know you know where he had gone to. Just tell me will you.” Every time I asked him, he would avoid my question. He would never answer me.

*Wang Zi’s POV*

This was what happened that day when he called me.

~Flashback~

“Hello? Hello? Who are you? Hello? If you are not going to talk, I’m going to put down the phone.” I said.

“I’m Aaron.”

“Ha. Can’t believe you will call me? Change your mind? Want to kill me now?”

“I need you to take care of Ying Jie.” He said.

“Ying.. Ying Jie?”

“She’s now in the hospital.”

“What did you do her again??!! How many times have you been hurting her?!”

“I’m leaving.”

“She just miscarriage. So I hope that you can take care of her.”

“Why are you leaving and not taking care of her instead?! Why are you dumping her when she needed someone most?!”

“Didn’t you always tell Ying Jie to leave me? Now I’m leaving her and you are asking me why.”

“This is different.” I said.

“Maybe everyone else is right. Letting her staying by my side is too dangerous and she ends up getting hurt a thousand times. I’m leaving her to you.”

“Where are you going?” I asked.

“I have already sent a sum of money to your account. If you need any more financial assistant or any other help, you can reach me at +81 092 872-574-950. I will be going to Japan. Let her stay with you in Taiwan.”

“You are not going to tell her that you are leaving?”

“Why do you want to meet him? After meeting him, what do you want to tell him?” I asked

“I.. I don’t know but..”

“Answer me. You love him, don’t you? I have been asking you this question for a very long time but you never once answer me. This time, are you ready to tell me your answer?”

“I love him. Even if he killed my dad, even if staying by his side was such a dangerous thing, I still love him.” Even Aaron left, leaving her to me but her heart is still with him. In the end, I don’t stand a chance or maybe from the beginning, I never did stand a chance.

“Ying Jie..” Seeing her like this, I wanted to tell her that I can find Aaron for her but.. ‘Let her stay with you in Taiwan.’

6 months have passed. I have been trying hard to make her smile but failed. I have not seen her smiling ever since Aaron and her baby left her.

“Ying Jie, after school, let’s go and watch movie.”

“Ok.” I thought she really would go with me but half way through the movie, she said she want to go to the toilet. She never come back even after the movie had finished. I went stood outside the girl’s toilet. Is she inside? Should I go in? I dashed into the toilet, scanning through quickly.

“AH!!” All the women started screaming. I ran out immediately before them starting chasing after me. Where did she go to?! I went around the mall searching for her but I couldn’t find her.

*Ying Jie’s POV*

I didn’t how long have I been walking. Every step I took was heading to his house. When I realized, I was already standing outside his house. The house that once I live in. The house that once we shared but now everything is gone. I pushed the gate opened. It’s not lock. Is he inside? I ran into the house immediately.

“Lun?” I took steps by steps. Just then I heard footsteps. I lift up my head.

“Why.. Why are you here?” It wasn’t him. It’s Henry.

“Where’s Aaron?” Henry tried to walk away but I grabbed onto him.

“You are his assistant. You will know where he is, isn’t it?”

“I.. I don’t know.”

“I know you know where he is! Why no one is willing to tell me where he is!!!”

“Miss, don’t cry, please.” I ignored him and carry on crying.

“Miss..”

“Stop calling me Miss. I’m not your Miss anymore, isn’t it?”

“Miss, forget about Master.” I looked at him. “Forget about him.”

“Did he ask you to tell me that? Wang Zi told me the same thing. Is it anything happen to him?! Huh?” I grabbed tightly onto Henry’s arm.

“Just tell me where is he!! I want to see him.”

We sat on his private airplane. After hours, we finally reached our destination.

“Sorry. Did I hurt you? Are you in pain?” I looked at him. The alley is so dark, with only a dim lamp post there. I can’t even see clearly his expression. I stretched out my hand and held onto his right arm.

“AH!! Let go of me!!” He pushed me away and groans even louder. What is this? It’s wet. I smell it. Blo.. Blood?! AH! Did I hit him this hard? That he was bleeding?? Oh no. How how?? I went up to him.

“Did I hit you this hard?? I did not do it on purpose.”

“I’m sorry. How? I call ambulance for you?”

“Not necessary.”

“Becareful.” I said.

“What are you doing?” I took out my handkerchief and placed on top of his wound. I tear my skirt.

“Hey! What are you trying to do?” He asked. I did not reply and continuing tearing my skirt. I tied all the cloth together into a long string and used the string to tie the handkerchief around his wound.

“Is it here?” I asked.

“Yea.”

*Ying Jie’s POV*

At night, I walked out of the room.

“Where’s Aaron?” I asked one of the servants.

“He went to the office in the afternoon. He’s not back yet.”

“Ok. Thank you.” I grabbed my bag and my luggage and headed for the door. Just then, he walked into the house and stood in front of me.

“Where are you going?” His sudden appearance shocked me.

“I.. I.. I’m leaving.” I tried to walk pass him but he grabbed onto my arm.

“Leaving? Where exactly do you want to go?!” Aaron is almost shouting at me.

“Anywhere but here.”

“Do you really want to leave me so much?” He looked into my eyes. Don’t look at me like this. I can’t take it.

“I..” I pushed him away and took a few steps.

“I’m not letting you leave.” He said coldly, carrying me up.

“Put me down!! Put me down..” He ignored me and carried me to my room.

Slowly, he put me down. He hugged onto my waist, making me leaning on him. Why does his eyes looks so gentle suddenly?

“Aaron..”

“I still prefer you calling me Lun.”

“I..” I looked away from him. He hugged me into his arms. I wanted to push him away.

“Let me hug you for a while.” I didn’t move an inch. I thought after a while he would release me but he hugged me tighter instead. I did not realized at first but later, I then know. He was crying. I do not understand him. All the things he does, all the things he says. Suddenly, he broke the hug. Without looking at me, he turned towards the door.

“Lun..” I took a few steps in front.

“Just stay where you are.” I stopped moving. “I will leave you alone if you do not want me by your side but please stay. Stay at the place that I could see you, even if is from a far distance. As long as I see you, I will be satisfied.” After completing his sentence, he walked out of my room.

The next morning, when I woke up, he’s not in the house. I headed for school.

“Wang Zi!” I called out for him when I saw him walking in front. He stopped and turned around. His arm was bandage.

“How.. How is your hand?”

“Fine.”

“I.. I’m sorry.”

“For?”

“For causing your injuries.”

“You are not at fault anyway so there is no need for you to apologize.”

“No. I have some responsible for causing you like this.”


“I’m fine. So just forget about it. Don’t put it in your heart.”

“Wang Zi..”

“We are still friends right?” He asked.

“Yap!!” I smiled at him.

*Aaron’s POV*

I went out in the morning, thinking that she might not want to see me. At night, I came back home from the office. I’m so stressed out over the Dragon’s case. I stepped into the house.

“Where’s Ying Jie?”

“Miss has not returned.”

Did something mishap happens to her again? Or.. She has decided to leave me in the end?

Just then, the main door opened and she stepped into the house. She looked up at me.

“I’m.. I’m back.” She said. Without any thinking, I pull her into my arms.

“Thank god you are still here.”

“I.. I just went to Wang Zi’s house just now.” I pushed her a little away and looked at her.

“I just go there for.. for..”

“Don’t need to explain.” I said.

“You.. You are not going to kill him right?” I frowned.

“No. I’m not going to kill him.”

“O..k.. I go back to my room first.” She moved away from me and walked away. We didn’t talk for more than 10 lines today. In the end, she still doesn’t want to be around me. ‘You.. You are not going to kill him right?’ Ha. That’s the only impression of me from her.

The next morning, I went to the office.

“Better be alert and protect her. If anything happens to her, I want your life!” I send a few men to protect Ying Jie secretly. After that day, they never strike again. Just what is Dragon planning to do? No matter what. I do not want anything to happen to her again.

“Master, the guns have arrived at our garage.” Tim said.

“Ok. We’ll go take a look.” I stood up from my chair and we headed down to out garage.

“Open up the boxes.” My men took tools to break open the boxes.

“Looks great. Ok. Henry, Tim, send your men to collect the guns.”

“Yes, Master.”

*Ying Jie’s POV*

After school..

“Ying Jie..”

“Yes?”

“You are still staying with him?”

“Y.. Yea..”

“Why not you stay with me?”

“Huh?!”

“I mean.. I mean stay with me and my family.”

“Thank Wang Zi. But I’m fine staying with him.”

“Ying Jie..”

“Erm.. Wang Zi, I go ahead first. Bye.” I quickly grabbed my bag and left. I get into the car.

“Sir, can you drive me to the mall?” He nodded and started the engine. I went to the mall and walked around. Then, I pass by this shop which sells baby clothes. I went into the shop. Baby. I feel with own stomach and smile. Are you a girl or a boy? I took 2 sets of clothes. A boy’s one and a girl’s one. I went to the cashier and pay it. I left the shop and headed home. When I reached home, Aaron is not at home again. I went up the stairs and headed back to my room. I lay on the bed.

*Aaron’s POV*

“Master, Dragon is here in Taiwan. The men are his.” Henry reported to me. I nodded at him. So. He’s trying to catch Ying Jie. That bastard!! I slammed the table.

“I’m gonna get rid of him! I swear!!!”
I went back home from the office. I knocked on Ying Jie’s room but there isn’t any response.

“Jie!” I knocked even harder this time but there is still no response. She locked the door even. Shit! I asked the servants for the keys and unlocked the door.

“JIE!!” She fainted in her room. “Jie. Jie. Call doctor!! Call doctor!!”

“Ye.. Yes, Master.”

“Doctor, how is she?”

“Her body is weak. She has low blood pressure. Did she eat regularly?” The doctor asked. I stared at the servants.

“Ma.. Master, Miss refused to eat.”

“She should eat to get more nutrients. It’s bad for the baby if she don’t eat.”

“Wh.. What??!”

“She’s pregnant. It’s 2 months already.” I turned to look at her. Why didn’t she say? Why didn’t she tell me?

“Let her rest more and eat more. It would be healthier for both mother and child.”

“Thank you, doctor.” He nodded and left the room.

“Send the doctor out.” I told the servants. They nodded and left the room. I turned to look at her. She’s so pale. I touched her face.

“Why didn’t you say? Why didn’t you tell me?” I grabbed onto her hand tightly. I sobbed silently.

“Why didn’t you..” Ever since that day I shot Wang Zi, she refused to talk to me and refused to eat. I didn’t allow her to leave me, she ended up locking herself in her room.

“Why are you torturing yourself? I rather you scold or beat me. Jie, tell me. Tell me what I should do.”

*Ying Jie’s POV*

What happened? When I woke up, it’s already the next morning. Then, I realized someone is holding onto my hand. Is him. Looking at him closely, he seems to be skinnier. Slowly, I removed his hands from mine but I woke him up instead.

“Jie! How are you feeling?” He leaned closer to me. I looked at him for a few seconds before turning away from him. He saw my reaction and move away from me.

“I ask them to prepare breakfast for you.”

“Don’t need.” I said coldly.

“Jie, just eat something. Or I ask them to bring up warm milk for you.”

“I do not want anything.”

“Please. Please, Jie, eat something will you. I know you are angry with me but don’t do this to yourself. You can get angry with me. You can hate me. But please eat something. I beg you.” I kept silent.

“Even you don’t want to eat, can you eat for the sake for our baby?” What? Baby? I turned to look at him.

“Ba.. Baby? What baby?”

“You mean you don’t know? You are pregnant.”

“Preg.. Pregnant?” I touched my stomach. I’m pregnant? Aaron’s child? Baby?

“Jie?” I started crying.

“Why?! Pregnant?! Is god playing a trick on me?” Aaron came forward and hugged me tightly. I wanted to push away but I end up letting him hugging me.

“Jie, I will take care of you, I promise.”

“No. No. Leave me alone. Just leave me alone.”

“Now!! NOW!!” I pulled the blanket and covered myself. After a few seconds of silence, I then heard the opening of the door. After another few minutes, someone opened the door again. He or she placed something on the table and went out of the room again. I creep down of my bed and walked towards the table. There was food, milk and a note.

Jie, I know you are angry with me. You might not even want to see me but please.. at least eat something whether is for yourself or for the baby. I asked them prepare milk and noodles for you. Please eat it.

Aaron.

I looked at the tray of food. I touched my stomach. Baby. Are you really there? Inside my body? I sat on the chair and starting eating the food. After finishing, I took the tray and walked out of the room.

“Miss! We will take it for you. Master told us to look after you. He would scold us if he sees you holding on to this.” The servant took the tray for me.

“Where is he?”

“He went to the study room.” I nodded at her and headed for the study room. I stood outside the room hesitating whether to knock on the door. Just as I’m prepared to walk off, he opened the door.

“Jie?” He held onto my arm.

“I.. I just.. I just want to say thank you.” I swing off his hand and quickly headed back to my room. I lean against the door. Just what should I do?
